Ms. Tikulirekuti Banda is passionate about bridging health systems gaps and advancing gender equality and equity in global health. As a Public Health specialist with a background in Development Studies, she has 7 years’ experience working with over 300 community health care workers from over 7 provinces of Zambia. She is currently based at the Centre for Infectious Disease Research in Zambia (CIDRZ) where she is coordinating adolescent sexual and reproductive health activities targeting HIV positive adolescents and breastfeeding mothers. Ms. Banda is also a Co-Principal Investigator on a World Health Organization funded project within CIDRZ aimed at assessing health systems barriers and facilitators to effective translation WHO guidelines to local policy contexts among Government ministries, NGOs, CSOs and community health care workers Zambia. She is also co-investigator on a COVID-19 study aimed at assessing mental health challenges among COVID-19 survivors and community health care workers in Lusaka and Northern provinces of Zambia.
